I've been having a lot of fun playing around the house lately.
My replica portal gun arrived in the mail:


It's not a lie!
It lights up with red led's and the traditional blue and orange. Each of the latter colors has three different sounds to go with it (as far as my ears can tell). It's part of a series of 5000 that were made by NECA. They're sold out now, but I've heard they're going to make more that are skinned to match the multi-player options.
I'm gonna take some pictures of the real thing when I get a chance and maybe do a little video...stay tuned.
There's been talk of shooting a set with it and my companion cubes. Although, I'm not quite sure if or how I could/want to pull it off...(meaning I'm not sure if I want to go full-Chell or not. And, if I do, can I find a warehouse or something to shoot in to make it look proper.)
And, of course, my CE of Diablo III arrived in the mail the same day. SO....I've been playing a lot of that. I'm actually really happy with the in-game items the CE comes with, but I'm not super in love with the usb thing (although I do like it's small size).
I like Jim Raynor's dog tags from the SC II CE much better. See?


I've also been working on modding some toys from the comfort of my couch:




I, stupidly, didn't take before pictures. So, next time, I'll add before pictures. Basically, I added lip gloss and re-did the hair of Cupid (so she looked more like her character design) and I re-did the hair of Ghoulia. But, that's not the final picture of Ghoulia. It was still wet so I waited and gave her a big, curly bouffant to match her 1950's outfit.
The next step is some full-blown paint modding. But, I need to decide what kind I'm going to use.
But, I wasn't in the house the whole time. I went out to celebrate the anniversary of Tattoo 13 and Temple Tattoo (Freddy Corbin, the owner,...
